✨️ My Grounding Journey ✨️

You have probably heard of the term Grounding before. Some people call it Earthing. But do you know what it actually does? I thought I did but it was only the surface.


A little over a year ago I had a client mention to me they had seen Grounding Sheets that you put on your bed to Ground you while you sleep. They wanted to know if I had any experience with them. I had never even heard of them.

This of course sent me into a very long search for information. The idea sounded very interesting to me and the more I looked, the more interested I got.


Of course I knew about Grounding. You just go outside and touch the earth! I knew it was good for you. I knew it made me feel good. But I didn’t really understand why. I didn’t know what it was actually doing and how my body needed it.

When I started reading about Grounding I found information on how it has been shown to improve your mood and sleep, reduce inflammation and pain, helps with circulation and stress among many other benefits.

What I also found was that, as we as a society have evolved, Grounding has become something we just don’t do. We spend most of our time inside and when we do go outside we usually have shoes on that block us from exchanging energy with the earth. It means we are not receiving the benefit of the negatively charged earth to help neutralise the positively charged free radicals that are causing dis-ease and dis-comfort in our bodies.

As part of nature, our bodies were created to use this method for regeneration and healing and we’re just not using it. We’ve forgotten or perhaps been uneducated by our evolution to not remember how our bodies work. Like so many other traditional and natural healing methods and capabilities we have that were once used, it has been lost.


Some of you may be aware that I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over 30 years ago. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in over 25 years (partially kid related,😆 but mostly pain related). I toss and turn with pain and get up multiple times a night. So every morning I feel more tired than when I went to bed. I do get some sleep, but not quality sleep, and definitely not enough.

The idea of receiving the benefits of Grounding for probably 8 hours of my day simply while I was in bed touching a Grounding Sheet seemed like an easy way to Ground my body and if it was also going to improve my sleep, woohoo!


About 8 months ago I finally had absorbed enough information to know I wanted to give these Grounding Sheets a go. After a lot more investigating I purchased a Grounding Sheet underlay that goes under your sheets. I did my homework and purchased what looked like a top quality product. If I was doing this I wanted it to work, because by now I was seeing a lot of these products and some looked very cheap and nasty.

I was so happy to realise after a few nights that, although I was still tossing and turning during the night, I wasn’t getting up nearly as often and in the morning I wasn’t exhausted! Now, 8 months later, I find some nights I even sleep for hours without waking and may not get up during the night at all. To be able to get some quality sleep after all these years has been amazing!


Of course I have been telling everyone about this and a lot of clients and friends have also bought and used Grounding Sheets and Mats. The Grounding Mat is a mat you stand on or put under your feet while seated. One of my clients bought her Mat in one day and asked if I would use it during her Energy Session. So while I was working on her, my feet were on the Grounding Mat. We both felt the difference in the energy.

The next day I ordered a Grounding Mat so that all my clients can benefit from Grounding during and Energy Session with me.

Needless to say I have rediscovered the amazing lost art of Grounding. I still enjoying going out and touching the earth as often as possible, but when I have to be inside I can still get the benefits that I now realise my body was missing.
